In cooperation with our partners from the patient association P.I.N.K. - life, on March 27, 2021, we celebrated Daffodil Day at Cvjetni trg in Zagreb. We are happy that the epidemiological situation allowed us to socialize with citizens in person. The event was attended by numerous dignitaries and celebrities, who used the daffodil as a symbol of hope to once again remind them of the importance of prevention and early detection of malignant diseases.

Incidentally, Daffodil Days are a global movement. They are held in March in most countries, and funds are raised and awareness about cancer is raised using this cheerful symbol. Since the 1950s, the daffodil has served as a symbol of hope and the fight against cancer. This beautiful flower represents the hard work of researchers and doctors working to find a cure and improve the treatment of all types of cancer. Starting with the Canadian Cancer Society, cancer research organizations around the world have used the daffodil as an emblem of hope.

The onkologija.net team actively participated in Daffodil Day, and as part of it, our oncology specialist Dr. Kust gave statements to television channels. See the statements and the report on the event at the links below:
